Belted Kingfisher — Martin Pescador Norteño (Ceryle alcyon)

This was the most cooperative bird one could hope for. He hung on the wire long enough for me to set up the equipment and bumble through the various settings. This was taken on a remote pond up Trout Gulch Road in Aptos, California
